Well if you've been reading this blog the past couple months, you probably know that Leopard came out today. As you have probably also guessed, Mustafa and I waited in line at the Apple store this evening at 5:30 for the grand unveiling, and picked up our free t-shirts.
So, as of now, I am typing this post on a mac with, drumroll please, LEOPARD ON IT!!! :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D
ahem. Anyway, I installed my 250GB HDD while I was at it, so I'm no longer out of space either.

Hello all! I have changed domains again. I now reside here at thenetninja.com I wanted a new look, and a name that people could spell and/or pronounce... :-P With the change comes a new email address, which is ninja@thenetninja.com . Don't worry, I'm still forwarding mail from my old one, but I'll only have that account until the domain expires, so you might want to change it in your address books. ;-)
I also upgraded my MacBook with 2GB of RAM today!

Well, on October 16th, I got an email from a fellow nerd telling me that Leopard had been announced to come out on the 26th (which had already been leaked a couple weeks ago) and they were upgrading mac's bought any time this october for $10! So I figured I would avoid the geek mob on opening day and get a macbook. :-D I've got a copy of Leopard pre-ordered and scedualed to ship on the 26th.

My trusty iBook has been giving me subtle signs that it's getting tired. Lately, when I'm running on battery power, it randomly shuts off, and wont turn back on until I plug it into the wall. I think it's a problem with the power supply. At any rate, I'm saving up for a new one so when it poops out entirely, I won't be up a creek without a paddle..... sigh..... On the bright side, Leopard, (OS 10.5) is coming out next month! So at least a new computer will be significant upgrade.

I just got home a few minutes ago from work, and thought I would give you all an update on what's going on. I am working at the Sprint store in Littleton 32 hours a week, and have been trying to learn a ton of stuff about the job, such as how to operate all the different systems on the computer, and sitting on hold for hours on the tech support line when the system is busted.

Here's something cool I found, it's a css script for blocking ads on your web browser! Firefox users probably don't need it because there's the adblock plus extention, but it works nice in safari! Here's a link to the site: floppymoose.com

Over this weekend, I've been occupied with the task of tearing computers apart. It started with me acquiring a motherboard and processor from a friend. I had an AMD Athlon k7 600 MHZ CPU in my Linux box, and he had basically the same system, except it was a 750 MHZ. Yes, I know, it's not an Athlon 64 or an Intel Core Duo, but it was free, and I'm running Linux on it anyway. So I stuck the 750 in my box, and didn't have any trouble. My Linux installation worked fine, like it said "ooh! an extra 150 MHZ! mmmmmm!". The next question was what to do with my old board.
