Out of the Black Hole

I, The Net Ninja, as I sit here listening to the Tron Legacy soundtrack, have just recovered from an epiphany. I realized a moment ago that I am the administrator of a website called TheNetNinja.com, and this website has a blog. As shocking as this discovery was, it probably doesn't compare to the shock of anyone who might have checked the site periodically over the past months, and might perhaps be accustomed to the static nature of its content. It's possible, in fact, that the shock to this hypothetical person's nervous and/or cardiovascular system(s) might be somewhat damaging to their hypothetical health, but I consider the chances of the existence of such a person to be remote enough that the likelihood of litigation from said person(s) (assuming he/she survives) being levied against me are extremely low. That assumption being established, I will now proceed to update this blog.

For the purpose of keeping this blog post the length of a single blog post (and possibly for the sake of a hypothetical person's hypothetical mental and/or cardiovascular health), I will attempt to summarize the highlights of the past few months in short segments.

Education:
I have completed another semester at Red Rocks Community College, earning thirteen credits between Calculus II, Microeconomics, and Physics I. For the next semester I plan to take ten credits in the form of Calculus III, and Physics II, each worth five credits.

Work:
I started a new job as a bus driver for the Windcrest Retirement Community in late October. The pay is good, and the part time hours are flexible enough to work around a school schedule. Many thanks to John Pitzer for alerting me to the presence of an opening, and recommending my services to the company.

Personal:
My faithful steed Leo colicked on October 21st, and there was nothing the vet could do to save him. I miss him deeply, but I am thankful for the time we had together. We had a deep connection built from hours spent training for Westernares, and from riding for numerous performing events around the country. He was 8 years old at time of death.

Relationships:
It has been nearly a year since Talitha and I broke up. The healing process has been gradual, but steady. I have no new romantic interests to report, but I have not been actively looking either. I am not entirely convinced that I am ready to pursue any kind of romantic involvement at this time.

Recreation:
I have recently acquired a used LM7 5.3L V8 that I plan to transplant into my S10 pickup truck. It is currently sitting on the floor of the storage unit awaiting the acquisition of other needed parts to complete the swap. I hope to be able to build it this coming summer, and race it at the speedway when I finish it. The 5.3L should significantly improve it's performance at the race track, over the 4.3L V6(as well built as that engine is) that it currently has.

In a proverbial nutshell, that fairly well describes the past few months in the life of The Net Ninja.
